A day in the life of Putterfingers Mini Golf!

Well the day usually starts after the school run for me.  My delightful primary school aged children are packed off at 8.45am to allow me to get to the office for 9am……so what happens then?

Here is a time log of a typical day…………………………………………

9am – arrive at the office, make an important cup of coffee and get hooked up to email and start looking through any online enquiries that have come through the website.

I start off with 2 weddings – we love a good wedding here at Putterfingers and mini golf is perfect wedding entertainment and a great way to keep the kids out of mischief!  I do hope the bride and groom can utilise the mini golf in the courtyard at their wedding venue.

10am – This morning I was still answering queries relating to the hire of our mini / crazy golf courses. This included 3 potential purchasers in Canada who were requesting the costs of overseas shipping, with a view to using the mini golf as ‘Putt Putt’ rental, a term I am getting used to!

Then, a few more emails looking to check availability for weekday hire, in July and August for corporate mini golf and marketing events!

10.30am – Time for another cuppa and a snack – this enquiry lark is thirsty work……….

11am – Start to phone confirmed bookings for the next two weeks to ensure all plans are in place.  I also speak to a few potential bookings to check their status and see if they still wish to have crazy golf at their event.

11.30am – Time to review the bookings calendar and start to schedule in the courier deliveries for this week.  I book online and print the postage documents ready to attach to the boxes of the golf course that we sold yesterday, to an event operator in the North East of England.  All I have to do is wait patiently for the friendly courier to drop by and collect the packages.

Sometime tomorrow our client will be the happy owner of a Putterfingers Crazy Golf Course!

12pm – A quick review of our mini golf equipment and a quick clean up of rental stock that has been returned by courier this morning.  The client has sent some positive feedback that the putting was thoroughly enjoyed by the Scouts and the Activity Centre is considering the purchase of a course for all year round mini golf!

Requiring little maintenance, the astro grass matting needs a quick clean with a stiff brush, the obstacles a quick wipe over and then we have golf to go again!

1pm – Tummy rumbly! I quickly demolish the contents of my packed lunch box (last night’s left over Pasta Bolognese) and 2 satsumas, and I am ready to put the kettle on again.

1.30pm – Delivery time – arrival of our newly themed leaflets for Soft Golf from the printer, they are looking fabulous!   The images of the children are great – they really look like they are having fun playing Soft Golf. What do you think?

2pm – Time to crack on with the accuracy of my database and ensure I have enough envelopes to stuff in front of the TV tonight while watching the Apprentice!

2.30pm – Must be time for another coffee?  🙂

3pm – Arrival of our courier!  I make sure all packages are sealed and labelled and then sign out the goods that are heading for our local depot, for a 24 hour next day delivery to our client.

3.15pm – Usually time to sign off and get the children from school, but today they are with the grandparents so I can plough through another 3 rental enquiries.

4pm – The next few weeks look to be very eventful, so I am about to close down for the day.

We have a host of bookings coming up, including a dual office corporate booking for a themed team building event, a Golf Club fun day, Pitch and Putt at a local village fete, a Primary School Summer Fair, a Putting Challenge in a major grocery chain car park and a golfing activity at a music festival.

So fancy a round of golf?
