I received a surpise in this morning’s post for #minigolfmonday! Greetings from Cheddar Crazy Golf, in Somerset. Now this is not a course I have played but several reviews from happy customers can be found on Tripadvisor.co.uk.
In such an electronic messaging society, it was a nice to receive a postcard greeting through the letterbox here at Putterfingers HQ.
Apparently only 16% of holidaymakers send postcards these days as smartphones are making postcards a thing of the past, with many saying it is too difficult to find a stamp or a post box.
However, the burning mini golf question on the postcard was:
“Name the mini golf course on the stamp?”
You can have a closer look here:
As this image was from a local course close to my hometown I instantly recognised this as Skegness, and a picture I previously included in a blog post about windmills, the all important part of a crazy golf course!
Skegness has been described as a ‘mecca’ and hosts 12 different crazy golf courses and I believe this picture was on the 18 hole Arnold Palmer course.
An additional bonus question was:
“Who is the famous golfer?”
The team at Putterfingers had to put on our thinking caps for this one, but I would put my money on Richard Gottfried, the sender of our postcard!
The stamps are a great way to personalise any greeting, I believe available through Royal Mail and are called smilers.
Hope you all have a great Monday! Many thanks to Richard for sending this in!
