Putterfingers were privileged to supply a mini golf course this week, for a corporate event in the Hotel du Golf in Arras, France.
The hotel in the north of France is situated next to the Golf d’Arras course, classed as one of the finest golf courses in the region. The golf course has a sensational layout with two different nines, the first being positioned amongst marshland and the second up in the hills. Arras Golf Club was home to the Ladies French Open on the Evian Tour from 2000 to 2009 and will provide an enjoyable test and a great challenge to all standards of golfer.
Our client Oui3design, based in East Lothian, Scotland enquired about a mini golf hire for their sister company UNI Packaging for their annual event, held in the Hotel du Golf in Arras. Sara’s initial concern was whether she could hire a golf course from us for use in France. The concept of a European mini golf hire made an interesting challenge for us and we were happy to help in this exciting event, as a full 9 hole course fits into the back of a MPV or large estate vehicle.
The interlocking astro grass tiles are 1sqm each and slotted easily into the car, alongside foam edge bumpers, obstacle, putters, balls and number marker cones and we sailed through into France, leaving enough room for our driver and a passenger to sit comfortably.
It seems as though the golf was enjoyed by all yesterday and the set-up, ferry crossing and drive went without a hitch!
Sadly not enough time for my colleague to play a round of golf, but maybe next time I should volunteer myself for that passenger seat and make the most of the duty free at Calais!
