That time of year is coming around where I am getting ready to go off on an annual ski holiday (and always in search of a mini golf course!) The blog from last year captured me standing at the top of a run aptly named ‘Golf’.
The closest to a skiing mini golf course is at Alpine Adventure Golf in Llandudno which is completely alpine themed with rows of skis, a passenger chair lift, sledges and even a gondola cable car – this is one I would still really like to play! This course is the only one I know of that houses all sorts of alpine featured obstacles and course decorations.
Sadly the mini golf season and ski season never collide so while we are out in France there are never any sightings of ‘open’ mini golf courses. While the mountainous areas are still covered in snow it leaves little chance of locals making use of the lower ground activities, when there is so much to be seen 2000m above sea level.
I am not quite sure the mountains are for me in the Summer. I did however spot a sunny postcard of a chair lift at a crazy golf course I played when I was younger at Butlin Land, Minehead.
Who remembers those around Butlins? I used to think the monorail at Butlins Skegness was pretty cool too!
Any other alpine adventurers out there?
