Here at Putterfingers, we have been avidly following the #pkscavhunt, run by Japanese Mini Golf franchise and Adventure Golf Iphone app developer Putter King.
Through our social media links we have been closely monitoring the progress of our Mini Golf mad follower, Richard Gottfried.
British Minigolf Tour Pro Richard, finished in the runner up position after 2 months of filming trick shots, autograph hunting, collecting scorecards, photographing obstacles and many other crazy achievements; all part of a contest to track down and record items from the World Mini Golf circuit.
Richard came in the second spot after a Facebook vote off with Allan Cox from Australia, after they both tied on points. Richard was pipped to the post in the Facebook votes after his blind-folded trick shot scored 89 votes and Allan’s shot reached 212 votes.
Richard Gottfried is a British Minigolf Association (BMGA) Tour Pro, Great Britain International Minigolfer & a member of the 2008 BMGA British Club Champions – the Midlands Minigolf Club. He has also won the Blackpool Pleasure Beach Open, Weymouth Open, and is a two-time Manchester Mini Major Champion. He and his wife/Coach/Opponent and sometimes team-mate Emily have played over 400 Crazy Golf and Minigolf courses on their Crazy World of Minigolf Tour. They are currently writing a book about their travels.
Well done to winner Allan Cox, again to Richard as runner-up and Pat from the Putting Penguin who took the third spot!
We are also pleased to have been asked to help with the runner up prize!
We look forward to next year’s contest!
