Legoland Mole-in-One Mini Golf Course – is it really just for kids?

Last Summer we visited Legoland with two very excited children and one excited adult who was looking forward to playing the Legoland Mole in One Adventure Golf course.  As this was our first trip we had read the guides and planned our day to the last detail.

We opted for a 2 day pass which the children were delighted about and after heading onto a series of rides (and after a huge amount of queuing!) we embarked up the steps to the miniature golf course next to Duplo land.

The 18 hole course opened in July 1997 and is set in a woodland area with a series of different Lego creatures hiding in and amongst the hole layouts.  The course was relatively busy and having to pay just £4 for the 4 of us was a real bargain.

So along the way we couldn’t resist the snapping the camera at the wonderful Lego creatures across the course.

Are you a Hero?

Hole 9 as a Par 4 called the The Mole Hole, was an interesting one as a ‘Hero Hole’ – not something I have come across on my games of Mini Golf.  The 18 holes vary from Par 2 to Par 4 with 3 of these ‘Hero Holes’.  I was still baffled whether to start on the yellow tee off point or not.

The course itself was in good condition considering it is 5 years old and I would imagine has several hundred players a day.  On average the course takes 25-30 minutes for a family of 4, of course depending on the age of the player!

My two children played the course 4 times during our 2 day visit……and are looking forward to returning at Easter 2012.  As they say it is never too young to ‘Get into Golf’

Sadly this is where my ball ended up at the last of the Hero Holes at the 18th…..

Golf and Grill

The park is attempting to attract a new audience and is now offering Golf and Grill Nights which start with a welcome drink at the mansion, after which in teams of 4 will play 18 holes on Mole-in-One Mini Golf.  After golf the delegates are invited to enjoy a game of Giant Jenga before tucking into a wonderful BBQ feast prepared by the chef.

A great way to mix corporate entertainment into a theme park designed for 2-12 year olds – after all Legoland is not just for kids!

If you are planning a corporate event and would like to play golf as part of the entertainment, don’t forget we hire out our portable and modular mini golf courses to any venue or location in the UK from just £250 plus VAT.   Why don’t you give us a call to make a booking?
