Mini Golf at the arc Shopping Centre raises funds for St Nicholas Hospice

Saturday 3rd September saw  families pass through and enjoy a game of crazy golf  in the arc shopping centre, Bury St Edmunds. For the second year running Putterfingers were proud to support this event for such a good local cause.  The simple objective was to raise as much as possible through donations to play mini golf, for St Nicholas Hospice as part of the Accumulator Challenge.

St Nicholas Hospice are a charity providing a special service for people with terminal and life shortening illnesses and their families. Their aim is to improve the quality of lives of patients and their families during life shortening illness and bereavement, something we all feel close to at some stage in our lives.

The event hosted by Peter Hannah from the PC Support Group alongside Putterfingers, raised £350 and mini golf was enjoyed by several hundred players.

The day was enjoyed by all ages and along with the help of a gorgeous sunny day, many families flocked to town to get the children kitted out ready for the new school term.  The position of the mini golf course, right outside Clarks shoe shop, proved fruitful in the 20 minutes wait time for shoe measuring, and allowed many families to enjoy a quick 9 holes!
